Shortly after the start of the new year in Anchorage, gunshots rang out at a Muldoon house party, wounding at least two people.
Just after 1 a.m., the Anchorage Police Department received a report that multiple shots were fired during a house party with more than 50 attendees in the Muldoon area.
Police responded to a residence, located near the 8000 block of Williwa Avenue, where they found a male with a gunshot wound. The victim was taken to the hospital where APD says he is in critical condition.
“A short time later, another gunshot wound victim showed up to a local hospital,” an APD release says. “The victim was treated for a non-life threatening gunshot wound and it was determined that the victim had been shot at the location of the party.”
Police say the investigation is ongoing, with APD detectives currently interviewing multiple witnesses.
No suspects have been identified or taken into custody at this time.
