Police say a man fled with a few hundred dollars after robbing the Chevron, located at 5210 Old Seward Highway.
The Anchorage Police Department received a call just after 1:20 a.m. Friday that a man with a gun entered the store and demanded cash, then ran from the Chevron with the money.
When police arrived, they set up a perimeter and searched the area but did not locate the robbery suspect.
Police say the suspect’s face was concealed during the robbery, but witnesses described him as “possibly an Asian male.” He is believed to be about 5’4” and weighs 170 lbs. He was wearing khakis and a hoodie, APD says.
No injuries were reported in the robbery, police say.
