ANCHORAGE – A disturbance between two men resulted in the seizure of 48 pot plants and 96 ounces of processed marijuana, troopers said.
Around 5:30 p.m. Tuesday, Alaska State Troopers went to a Ketchikan residence to investigate a report about a disturbance between two men, according to a troopers report.
Once at the residence, troopers discovered a marijuana grow-op inside. The Alaska Bureau of Investigation’s Southeast Alaska Cities Against Drugs (SEACAD) Ketchikan-based task force then took over, troopers said.
They discovered the 48 growing pot plants — which weighed a total of 47 ounces. The 96 ounces of processed marijuana was also seized.
Multiple counts of fourth-degree misconduct involving a controlled substance against the two men were forwarded to the Ketchikan district attorney’s office to be reviewed, the report said.
