ANCHORAGE – A Wasilla woman faces a range of criminal charges after fleeing a traffic stop early Sunday morning, troopers said.
According to Alaska State Trooper dispatch, 36-year-old Natasha Bowers refused to pull over for the traffic stop around 1:30 a.m. Sunday, and instead drove into the driveway of a residence on Carlsbad Place. While Bowers allegedly pulled into the garage and tried to close the door, troopers were able to follow her into the building.
Troopers said Bowers, who had been drinking, fought to escape arrest and refused to submit to a breath test. She was ultimately arrested on charges of failing to stop, DUI, resisting arrest and refusing a breath test, troopers said. Her bail was set at $2,000.
