The Anchorage Police Department took a woman into custody late Wednesday evening following an hours-long standoff in the Airport Heights neighborhood.
Judy Lee, 46, was arrested and charged with third degree assault and fourth degree misconduct involving a weapon, according to APD Sgt. Ryan McNamera. She is currently being held without bail.
Police initially responded to the house, located at E. 18th Ave. and Rosemary St., around 7:30 p.m. for a weapon-related call. When police arrived, they found the victim sitting outside the home. Lee had barricaded herself inside the home and refused to come out.

“Officers called the S.W.A.T. team, who set up a perimeter, and eventually breached the residence and went inside and made contact,” said McNamera.
A loud explosion was heard throughout the neighborhood shortly after 12 a.m., which McNamera confirmed was S.W.A.T. members breaching the home. Police had a large area around the scene blocked off and a number of residents were kept from going home for hours.
At least two nearby residents said police had been called to the house before for a similar situation a few years ago, but this information could not be immediately confirmed by police.
