The Anchorage Police Department has arrested and charged two men in connection with two East Anchorage shootings Thursday.

According to a release from APD, both shootings happened just after 11 a.m. Thursday.

Police said they were first notified of an incident involving a gun at the 4300 block of E. 9th Avenue. Police were told a man fired a fun from a vehicle and then fled. The suspect was later identified as 21-year-old Antonio Gray.

“Shortly after the first shooting, Gray was located at the scene of a second shooting about a block away,” police wrote.

According to APD, Gray and another man in a pick-up truck were both firing weapons near the 800 block of Bragaw Street. The second shooter was later identified as Lance Owen, 27.

Police located Owen at the first shooting scene.

Both men were taken into custody. Gray was charged with first and third degree weapons misconduct. Owen was charged with third-degree assault, criminal mischief, and reckless endangerment.
