Alaska State Troopers and the Anchorage Police Department have filed charges against a group of teenagers after an alleged kidnapping, robbery and assault early Wednesday morning.
Around 4 a.m., the three teens – 19-year-old Damien Peterson, 18-year-old Austin Barrett and 17-year-old Devin Peterson, all of Wasilla — allegedly assaulted an Eagle River man at a home on Jasper Drive in Wasilla, according to an online trooper dispatch. They then forced him to take them to his home on the Old Glenn Highway.
The trio planned to rob the man of money, according to troopers. At some point, he subdued Damien Peterson and the other two fled before police arrived.
Troopers arrested Devin Peterson and Barrett at the Jasper Drive home, and all three were charged with kidnapping. Damien Peterson was also charged with first-degree robbery and second-degree assault.
