The FBI and Anchorage Police Department are investigating a reported bank robbery in Fairview Tuesday.
Police received a call at 1:30 p.m. alerting them to the robbery, which occurred at the Juneau Street Alaska USA Federal Credit Union, according to APD spokeswoman Jennifer Castro.
“It was reported that the suspect had left on foot and headed towards a nearby car dealership,” Castro said.
Police searched the area but were unable to find the suspect, who left the bank with an undisclosed amount of cash, according to Castro.
She said no injuries were reported to police.
The FBI will be leading the investigation into the robbery, Castro said. KTVA contacted an FBI spokesperson, who said more information would be released shortly.
