A 34-year-old male victim was hospitalized after police found him suffering from a gunshot wound early Monday morning. Police said he was uncooperative and they are now asking the public for additional information about the shooting.
The victim was found on the 1200 block of East 13th Avenue around 1:20 a.m., according to a statement from police spokeswoman Renee Oistad. He was transported to a hospital, and it was determined his wound was not life-threatening, she said.
“The victim was very uncooperative with police,” Oistad wrote. “He revealed only enough information for officers to ascertain the shooting was a targeted event.”
Anyone with information about the shooting is asked to call Anchorage police at 907-786-8900. Witnesses wishing to remain anonymous can submit a tip by calling 907-561-7867.
