The Anchorage Police Department is looking for a man who broke into a vehicle parked in the Mountain View neighborhood Wednesday, then fled on foot when confronted.
At around 2:30 p.m. police received a call from someone who said a man had broken into his car on the 800 block of North Bliss Street, then pointed a gun at him when he approached, according to a release from APD.
The suspect is described by police as a Samoan or Polynesian male in his early twenties, about five-foot eleven weighing 210 pounds with a small afro. He was last seen in the area of North Bliss St. and McPhee Avenue wearing a sweatband and a grey jacket, police said.
Police believe he has a handgun in his possession.
