A Napaskiak man was arrested Saturday after Alaska State Troopers (AST) were notified that a puppy had been killed and its body thrown against a bedroom window.
In an online dispatch, AST states that a village public safety officer was notified of the incident around 4:15 p.m. Saturday. A 45-year-old Napaskiak woman told troopers the puppy belonged to her nephew, who said it was thrown into his window once it was dead.
During the investigation, AST found that 22-year-old Alexie Evan, of Napaskiak, killed the dog and left a note on its body as a threat to his ex-girlfriend and her husband.
Evan was arrested and is being held at the Yukon-Kuskokwim Correctional Center on charges of criminal trespass, animal cruelty and two counts of second-degree stalking.
