The Anchorage Police Department (APD) says they are investigating the early morning robbery of a Holiday gas station.
In an online release, APD stated that around 2:30 a.m. Monday someone reported a robbery at the gas station located on Bragaw Street near Debarr Road. Police were told that a woman went into the store with a handgun and demanded cash from the register, according to the release. After the employee complied, the woman left on foot.
APD said a K-9 search of the area was conducted, but didn’t locate the woman. Police describe her as a white female who is 5 feet 8 inches tall and weighing about 190 pounds. She was wearing a light camouflage jacket, black gloves, jeans and blue tennis shoes with white soles. According to the release, she also wore a “black mask with a white skull face on it that looked like a bandana.”
No injuries were reported in the incident, APD said.
