A teen charged in connection with the murder of Palmer teen David Grunwald in November is now facing six more felony charges.
Online court records show the Palmer District Attorney filed six counts of possession of child pornography and one count of distributing indecent material to minors against 18-year-old Devin Peterson on Thursday, Dec. 29.
The Mat-Su Frontiersman reports a 10-second video found on a cell phone seized on Nov. 30 shows another man sexually assaulting a young female. The Mat-Su Frontiersman cites court documents that say the cell phone was seized as evidence in a case “involving the initial disappearance of a teenager in the Mat-Su Valley, which ultimately resulted in a homicide investigation.”
Peterson is the only one of five teen suspects charged in Grunwald’s death who is not facing murder charges. He’s charged with hindering the prosecution and tampering with evidence.
This is a developing story. Please check back for updates.
Correction: An earlier version of this report listed only five child pornography possession charges. This has been amended.
