Two armed suspects robbed a Northern Skies Federal Credit Union Monday morning, according to an FBI spokeswoman.
The robbery took place just after 10:30 a.m., when two suspected walked into the bank, which is located at 400 W. Benson Blvd., according to Staci Feger-Pellessier.
“Both were wearing masks and were armed with guns, one had a rifle,” she said.
The pair left the bank shortly after with an undisclosed amount of cash and was seen driving an “older black-colored SUV with a possible license plate of GFY527,” Feger-Pellessier said in a statement.
“Witness are sure of the 527 but are somewhat unsure of the GFY,” she elaborated.
Anyone with information about the robbery is asked to call the Anchorage FBI Field Office at 907-276-4441. An anonymous tip can be submitted via Crime Stoppers online or by calling 907-561-7867.
