Anchorage police are asking for the public’s help to find four men after an occupied vehicle was fired on Monday evening from a stolen SUV in Fairview.
The suspects’ vehicle — a stolen dark blue Dodge Durango with license plate DAZ499 — drove off after the shots were fired at about 10:15 p.m. near the 1200 block of 9th Avenue, police said in a statement. Responding officers found a Ford station wagon in a driveway, with some of its windows shot out and bullet holes in the vehicle.
“The suspects, described as four adult black males between the ages of 20 years old and 30 years old, drove up the driveway in a stolen blue 2003 Dodge Durango,” police wrote. “Words were exchanged between one of the occupants in the station wagon and the driver of the Durango. One of the occupants in the Durango then fired multiple shots towards the station wagon.”
No injuries were reported, and police said the Durango was recovered by noon Tuesday.
Anyone with information on the whereabouts of the suspects is asked to call police at 907-786-8900.
