An Anchorage driver faces multiple criminal charges after fleeing from Alaska State Troopers by car and foot.
According to trooper dispatch, 34-year-old Anchorage resident Bruce King is charged with eluding a law enforcement officer, third-degree assault, reckless driving and driving with a revoked license. After troopers attempted to stop King for a moving violation on Bogard Road around 9:20 p.m. Tuesday, they said he sped away in a 1996 Hyundai Accent.
Troopers said they pursued King — who was on probation — through a nearby neighborhood until he pulled the emergency brake on his car and fled into a wooded area on foot. He was apprehended after a short pursuit, troopers said, and remanded to Mat-Su Pretrial.
