A guest at the Togiak Clinic was arrested Friday after allegedly breaking into the clinic pharmacy and stealing several controlled substances.
Alaska State Troopers say 25-year-old Dillingham resident George Kase was staying at the clinic as a guest speaker in the community when the pharmacy was broken into early Friday morning. An investigation revealed Kase had forced open the pharmacy door and stolen multiple items, according to trooper dispatch. Kase was arrested and remanded to the Dillingham correctional facility on a $25,000 bail, troopers said, and he faces counts of theft, evidence tampering, criminal trespass and misconduct involving controlled substances.
The majority of the stolen items were never recovered, AST said.
