The question wasn’t if Luke Jerde was the driver — it was if he had committed an accident or crime.

On Thursday, a jury decided he was guilty of a 2012 hit-and-run that cost a man his leg.

Zachary Mohs was found barely alive, laying in the intersection of Arctic Boulevard and Tudor Road on Sept. 20, 2012, investigators said. He was missing a leg.

Jerde was convicted on five of the six charges in the hit-and-run of Mohs.

Jerdes’ attorney argued it was an accident caused by Mohs. The prosecution said otherwise and the jury agreed.

Jerde will be sentenced in August and could receive 10 years in prison.
