Sentences have been handed down to two people convicted in a deadly shooting at an East Anchorage bar three years ago.
An Anchorage jury found Ryan Lualu not guilty of murder, but convicted him of tampering with evidence and misconduct involving a weapon in connection with the 2011 fight at JJ’s Lounge. He’s been sentenced to three years in prison, the district attorney’s office said. Vang Chang was sentenced to 36 months with 27 months suspended. He’ll also serve three years probation for assault and being a felon in possession of a weapon.
Emilio Ramirez, 35, and Ka Meng Chang, 28, were killed in the shooting after an inside fight spilled out into the parking lot of the Muldoon bar.
