A jury convicted a 32-year-old man Friday for an August 2012 murder.
Tidiane Kone was found guilty of stabbing Adrian Beaver to death after chasing him down. Kone also stabbed another man, Lovie Houston, who was with Beaver, said a state Department of Law statement.
Kone had been on electronic monitoring as part of a pretrial release in another criminal case when he killed Beaver, the statement said.
Kone was convicted of first- and second-degree murder for the death of Beaver. He was also convicted of second- and fourth-degree assault of Houston. Kone has at least nine criminal convictions since 2005 and faces a sentence of 20 to 99 years, the Department of Law said.
His sentencing is slated for Sept. 12.
