A Wasilla man on probation for a felony drunken driving conviction was arrested Monday night as he drove on the Glenn Highway.
Alaska State Troopers say 42-year-old Robbie Sampson Jr. was recorded driving 97 mph near Palmer Hay Flats.
Troopers say Sampson had an open container of rum on the driver’s seat.
Sampson was charged with a probation violation and driving with a revoked license.
He was cited for speeding and driving with an open container of alcohol.
He remains jailed at Mat-Su Pretrial Facility and is being held without bail.
