A man was hospitalized with non-life-threatening injuries following a shooting near the intersection of Peterkin Avenue and North Klevin Street late Thursday night, police said.
According to a statement from the Anchorage Police Department, officers responded to a report of shots fired in the area shortly before 10 p.m. and discovered multiple shell casings and a blue minivan that appeared to have been damaged by gunfire. Later that evening, police were notified of a man who had been admitted to a local hospital for treatment of gunshot wounds.
But while the man was questioned about his wounds, police said he refused to cooperate or tell officers how he came to be shot.
Police said no suspects were located at the scene of the gunfire Thursday night. An initial report claimed two men involved in the shooting fled the area on foot, according to APD.
