A Wednesday fire in an unoccupied Wasilla home is being investigated as a suspected arson, Alaska State Troopers said.
A neighbor saw smoke coming from the residence on North Rainbow Park Drive and called 911 around 2:50 p.m., according to an online AST dispatch posted Thursday afternoon. State troopers responded to the scene, along with a Deputy Fire Marshal from Anchorage.
The home sustained more than $25,000 in damage, AST said.
