ANCHORAGE – Police would like your help identifying a jewelry thief.
The suspect visits jewelry stores, lets the staff warm up to him, gains possession of the jewelry and then bolts, according to police.
Police know of three jewelry stores he has stolen from so far, they said. He makes his getaway in a blue Ford Explorer with yellow license plates.
He has a tattoo of text on his left wrist and sports earrings in both ears, according to reports to police.
Police are asking anyone with information on the suspect and his whereabouts to call 786-8900. You can also report a tip anonymously by calling Crime Stoppers at 561-STOP or going online.
