ANCHORAGE – Thanks to tips from the public, police were able to identify the suspect in a series of jewelry thefts.
Christopher Ross Wilson, 30, is believed to have stolen jewelry from local pawn shops and jewelry stores, according to a statement from Dani Myren, Anchorage Police Department spokeswoman.
A warrant is out for Wilson’s arrest, charging him with four counts of second-degree theft — which stems from four separate incidents. In all, Wilson stole more than $19,000 worth of jewelry, Myren said.
Wilson is about 5 feet 9 inches tall and 190 pounds, police said, and has brown hair and hazel eyes.
Police are asking anyone with information on his whereabouts to call 786-8900. Anonymous calls can also be made by calling Crime Stoppers at 561-STOP or going online.
