JUNEAU, Alaska (AP) – Juneau police say they have captured a man who ran away form a halfway house earlier this month.
Police in a web posting say 39-year-old Derek McMillian was taken into custody early Thursday morning.
He had been a passenger in a car that was stopped for speeding.
McMillian and the driver of the car, who was arrested for driving with a revoked license, were both taken to Lemon Creek Correctional Center.
Police say McMillian walked away from Gastineau Human Services Halfway House on Jan. 3, and a no-bail warrant was issued.
