Kotzebue authorities arrested a woman attempting to import more than 20 liters of alcohol into Ambler, which bans the sale an importation of alcohol.
The Western Alaska Alcohol and Narcotics Team in Kotzebue intercepted the woman on Tuesday on her way to Ambler by plane.
She was found with 22.75 liter of alcohol and roughly two ounces of marijuana, which officials seized, according to an online Alaska State Trooper dispatch.
WAANT forwarded charges of fifth-degree misconduct involving a controlled substance and felony alcohol importation to the Office of Special Prosecution and Appeals.
