Two fast food restaurants on Muldoon Road were robbed at gunpoint Saturday morning, police confirmed.
The Anchorage Police Department said the first robbery was reported at the McDonald’s near the Glenn Highway at 10:26 a.m. Less than 20 minutes later, the second robbery was reported at the nearby Arby’s.
No one was injured during either robbery at either restaurant, but employees at Arby’s reported being forced into the freezer by the gunman.
The Arby’s manager said that as of 1 p.m., the suspect had not been apprehended. Police would not immediately comment on whether the two robberies were related.
