The Juneau Police Department has disposed of a homemade explosive device that was found at the entrance of a mobile home park.
The Juneau Empire reports that police received reports of the explosive device Friday and an Explosive Ordinance Disposal team was sent to remove the device and render it safe.
Sgt. Jeremy Weske says the area was secured and the team was able to retrieve the device without incident.
No one was injured and an investigation is ongoing.
