The Anchorage Police Department says two inmates walked away from two different halfway houses on Friday.
Byron Chinuhuk, 26, allegedly left the Glenwood Center on D Street around 4:30 p.m. He has prior convictions of assault, according to online court records.
Chinuhuk was last seen wearing a black t-shirt, light blue jeans and a gray baseball cap, according to a statement from police. He is 5-feet-8-inches tall and weighs roughly 175 pounds. He has at least one tattoo, located on his neck.
David James O’Kelley, 58, left the Cordova Center at the corner of Cordova Street and Second Avenue around 9 a.m. Friday. He has been convicted of crimes relating to the possession of drugs, court records show.
He is 6-feet tall, weighs roughly 175 pounds and has brown hair and eyes. When he left the center, he was seen wearing a white shirt, a gray sweater and sweatpants and white shoes.
