Two Fairbanks Correctional Center inmates attempted a jailbreak, causing extensive damage to their cell, according to Alaska State Troopers.
FCC notified troopers of the escape attempt at 7:16 a.m., according to an online dispatch. They found two inmates — 29-year-old Adam Bloom and 29-year-old Justin Porter — had tried to escape through their cell window.
“During the escape attempt they caused extensive damage to their cell,” troopers wrote.
Both were charged with second-degree attempted escape and third-degree criminal mischief. Bloom has a previous conviction of second-degree escape stemming from an August 2014 case, online court records show.
