A 31-year-old female inmate is facing charges of assault and harassment after allegedly attacking a correctional officer at the Lemon Creek Correctional Center in Juneau.
Alaska State Troopers reported the assault in an online dispatch, saying they were notified of the incident at 4:39 p.m. Friday.
The officer sustained minor injuries as a result of the attack, troopers wrote. The officer was treated at a local hospital.
The investigation into the assault is ongoing.
