“Exactly around this time one week ago, where were you? By any chance, were you in the area of [North] Post Road and Viking Drive in downtown Anchorage? What did you see at the time and what did you hear?”
That’s what Anchorage police are now asking in a statement to the public following their initial investigation into the deaths of 20-year-old Brianna Foisy and 41-year-old Jason Netter Sr. They were found dead on a bike path on July 3 and are considered homicide victims, according to police.
Very little information was released in the days following their deaths, but police say they have reviewed hours of surveillance footage in the area and have identified two persons of interest in the case.
As shown in the images above, the two people police are hoping to speak to are a male with a backpack who was walking near North Post Road and a male jogger in a yellow shirt and shorts who was seen jogging over a bridge near the crime scene around the time police believe the deaths occurred.
Police spokeswoman Renee Oistad said police are hoping the two males heard or saw something that would be helpful to their investigation.
Anyone with information on how to contact the two males or about the deaths is asked to call Anchorage police at 907-786-8900. An anonymous tip can also be submitted via Crime Stoppers by calling 907-561-STOP (7867).
