A man is dead Friday morning from apparent gunshot wounds after a shooting in Muldoon near Duben Avenue and Bolin Street.

Anchorage police identified the victim as Treyveonkindell Bobby Dwayne Thompson and have deemed the shooting a homicide.

Residents in the neighborhood awoke early Friday morning to the sound of gunshots. Just after 3 a.m., the Anchorage Police Department received multiple calls and responded to the area where they found a man dead in the street, according to a release from the department.

The statement from police said the victim has not yet been identified and there are no suspects in custody.

KTVA was at the scene, where Anchorage police investigators had little information about what happened leading up to the shooting. An APD supervisor said it’s not clear where the man was shot, though he was shot multiple times.

Anyone with information about the shooting is asked to contact APD at 907-786-8900. To provide anonymous tips, contact Anchorage Crime Stoppers at 907-561-STOP or visit the website, www.anchoragecrimestoppers.com.

This is the second homicide in Anchorage in just three days. On Wednesday, police responded to a murder in Midtown.

This is a developing story; please check back for updates.

Correction: An earlier version of this story stated the shooting occurred Thursday, making it the second homicide in two days. This has been corrected.
