Anchorage police say a young man was stabbed and critically injured early Friday at a trailer park home. He later died as a result of his wounds.
Just before 2 a.m., police received a report of a possible home invasion at a home on Penland Parkway, south of the Northway Mall.
Police responded and found the young man, identified as 19-year-old Allen Raymond, with stab wounds to his chest. He was transported to a hospital, where he later died, according to a statement from police.
Police say no one has been arrested or charged in the incident.
“This investigation is ongoing and no charges have been filed at this time,” police said. “There are no outstanding suspects or additional concerns regarding public safety surrounding this event.”
In an email to KTVA, police spokeswoman Jennifer Castro clarified, saying, “We’ve spoken with all of the parties involved and have identified and interviewed the person who is believed to have stabbed the male. However they have not been charged at this time so I’m unable to provide any additional information about them.”
Raymond’s next of kin have been notified of his death, police said.
