A 14-year-old girl is facing charges after she bit an Alaska State Trooper while intoxicated.
An online trooper dispatch said the incident occurred around 5:30 a.m. on Saturday when troopers and Selawik police responded to a home in the village for a report of a disturbance. They found the girl “highly intoxicated and assaultive.”
“Her father had first attempted to get her home when AST had to respond because other intoxicated adults were confronted by the father,” troopers explained.
While trying to get the girl to what troopers called a “safe place,” she attacked a passerby who helped them move her, then bit a trooper on the arm, causing injuries.
The wounded trooper was treated at the local clinic and released, the dispatch stated.
The girl has been charged with assault and minor consuming alcohol.
