ANCHORAGE — Another man has been arrested by the agency’s Special Crimes Investigation Unit (SCIU) for the assault and kidnapping of two men in the Valley. The incident was reported to Alaska State Troopers on Oct. 27.
In an online release, troopers say on Wednesday their investigators identified 26-year-old Anchorage resident Corey S. Sylva as part of the crime, where the two alleged victims were left injured on the Palmer side of Hatcher Pass.

Troopers procured an arrest warrant for Sylva for his part in the kidnapping and assault, and SCIU arrested the man around 5:30 p.m. Wednesday.
Sylva was transported to the Anchorage Correctional Complex, where he was being held in “a no bail status,” while awaiting an arraignment.
Troopers say they the investigation is ongoing.
