ANCHORAGE – An Anchorage drug trafficker was sentenced to 11 and half years in prison Thursday.
Micah Sean Ramirez, 39, was sentenced for having methamphetamine with intent to distribute and possessing a firearm as a felon, according to a statement from U.S. Attorney Karen L. Loeffler.
Ramirez sold 13.4 grams of methamphetamine to an undercover law enforcement officer, Loeffler said. He also had “a loaded pistol on his lap and a stolen Glock handgun in the back of the vehicle” where the drug deal occurred, the statement said.
Along with the meth he successfully sold, Ramirez had an additional 44.8 grams of pure methamphetamine stowed away in a pocket behind the front passenger seat of the vehicle, according to Loeffler’s statement.
Because of a prior felony conviction for third-degree assault, Ramirez isn’t allowed to own firearms.
