Two men and a teenager have been indicted by an Anchorage grand jury on charges stemming from multiple armed robberies which took place in January and February.
Detallion Owens, 20, and King Soloman Dunlop, 16, have been arrested and charged with 14 felony counts, including robbery, assault and vehicle theft, according to a release from the district attorney’s office. Dunlop is being charged as a adult.
An arrest warrant has been issued for a third suspect, 21-year-old Delander Owens, Jr. (pictured below). He’s charged with four felony counts, including one count of first-degree robbery.
Here’s a timeline of events, according to prosecutors:
- Jan. 27 – Detallion Owens, Delander Owens and Dunlop robbed the residents of an apartment on Karluk St., at gunpoint.
- Feb. 5 – A car belonging to a pizza delivery driver was stolen. It was discovered a few days later. A gun had been stolen from the car.
- Feb. 19 – Detallion Owens and Dunlop robbed a 19-year-old UAA student at gunpoint in his mother’s home, then stole his vehicle.
- Feb. 20 – The student’s vehicle was found, crashed. Two people were seen leaving the vehicle.
- Later that day, a man was robbed at gunpoint after leaving his workplace on Debarr Rd. The two men who robbed him, one of whom was Dunlop, were arrested a short time later. The gun stolen from the pizza delivery driver’s car was in their possession.
Both Owens and Dunlop are being held on $10,000 bail with a required third-party custodian. The men face up to 20 years in prison if convicted.
