A shooting reported in Mountain View Friday afternoon seriously injured two people.
The shooting took place on Irwin Street near Thompson Avenue, according to Anchorage police, who said it was reported at 3:32 p.m.
An officer at the scene said two people were injured during the shooting. One person was taken to an area hospital by friends while the other was taken from the scene via ambulance, he stated. At least one of the victims was seriously injured.
Witnesses told KTVA they heard multiple shots. Police confirmed that the person or people responsible for the shooting left the area in a vehicle, but police didn’t have a description of the vehicle because of “unhelpful witnesses.”
Police are still looking for the suspect or suspects. Anyone with information about the shooting is asked to contact police at 907-786-8900 or to submit an anonymous tip via Crime Stoppers at 907-561-7867.
