An unnamed teen driver is facing charges after he hit a 13-year-old boy in Wasilla and fled.
Alaska State Troopers investigated the collision, which was reported Friday just before 3 p.m. at the intersection of Shenandoah Drive and Hickory Street, according to an online dispatch.
The victim had suffered serious injuries, but troopers noted in the dispatch that they were not considered life-threatening.
Troopers soon identified the driver, a 17-year-old male, and spoke with him. Charges against him were forwarded to the Juvenile Probation department and the district attorney’s office for consideration, according to troopers.
No further details were immediately available. The identity of the driver will not be released unless he is charged as an adult.
