A Matanuska-Susitna Borough School District employee accused of possessing and distributing child pornography has returned to Alaska after being arrested in Florida.
Treyvon Johnson, 30, was charged in March by the Palmer District Attorney’s Office with 10 counts each of distribution and possession of child porn, along with one count of evidence tampering. Johnson was found and arrested in Lauderhill, Florida.
Last Thursday, Johnson was arraigned in Superior Court in Palmer. He remains in police custody.
The charges against Johnson stem from an investigation launched in late-January.
Johnson, at the time of his arrest, was employed as a custodian for the Mat-Su Borough School District. A spokesperson for the school told KTVA at the time of his arrest that the district was working with investigators, but it was not yet clear if any students were involved.
Anyone with information is encouraged to call Alaska State Troopers.
