ANCHORAGE – The FBI and Anchorage police are trying to track down a bank robbery suspect.
Around 5 p.m. on Feb. 25, the Credit Union 1 branch located on Abbott Road was robbed, according to a statement from FBI Anchorage Division.
A man entered the bank and showed a note demanding money, the FBI said. He left with $1,600 in cash and fled south on foot.
The suspect is described as an African American male about 20 to 30 years old and approximately five feet seven inches tall to five feet eleven inches tall, according to witnesses. He has a thin to medium build, medium to dark skin and black hair.
He was seen wearing a black baseball hat with a dark brim, a dark hoodie with the hood pulled over his head and cap, black gloves, dark jeans, black shoes and sunglasses, the FBI said.
