Anchorage police have arrested a man who allegedly robbed a Midtown coffee shop at gunpoint early Friday evening.
The robbery was reported to police by a caller shortly before 5 p.m., according to a short release issued at around 8:30 p.m.
“According to the caller the suspect said he had a gun and demanded money,” the release states.
The unnamed suspect fled on foot from the area of Tudor Road and Old Seward Highway, where the coffee shop was located, and was arrested a short time later.
The robbery is still under investigation and no further information has been released.
