Anchorage police are actively investigating an assault around 700 E. 11th Avenue, between Fairview and Downtown.
In an alert sent out shortly after 9 p.m. Thursday, police said one person had been taken to a nearby hospital with “potentially life-threatening injuries.”
A domestic situation between two male family members reportedly escalated into a fight involving multiple weapons, according to Anchorage Police Lt. John Nolder.
One suspect has been arrested and there is currently no threat to the community, police said.
