An Anchorage teacher is charged with sexually abusing a teenager she met at church.
A woman contacted police to say 37-year old Hannah Morris sexually abused her in 2002 and 2003.
Anchorage police say Morris was a youth leader at a South Anchorage church during that time.
Grace Christian School confirms Morris is currently a teacher there. According to the school website, she began teaching at there in 2004.
The school’s principal says they are in the preliminary stages of reviewing the information and will “take appropriate action in accordance with school policy.”
The alleged victim told police she came forward because she didn’t want other teen girls to go through the same experience.
Morris entered a not guilty plea and the judge released her on bond.
She’ll be back in court at the end of July.
