Thursday evening just before 7, Anchorage Police say three juveniles were involved in an altercation that escalated, leaving one wounded.
APD began receiving calls about 10 minutes to 7 that a shooting occurred at the intersection of Bragaw Street and Parsons Avenue in the Mountain View neighborhood.
By the time officers arrived on the scene, only shell casings remained.
Witnesses described those involved as three young black males. All three were on foot, witnesses said, and after the altercation escalated to the point of shots fired, two suspects ran one way while the victim ran another.
Shortly thereafter, a young black male who has not yet been identified, arrived at the hospital with gunshot wounds to the leg.
Anyone with information on this crime is asked to call APD.
