A store clerk fired a shot at a theft suspect Wednesday evening in Anchorage.
Just before 7, Anchorage Police responded to Smoker’s Choice in the 3600 block of Minnesota Drive on reports of a theft and shots fired.
According to APD, a white male entered the store and ran out with a carton of cigarettes. The store clerk fired one shot after the suspect, though police say there’s no indication the man was armed or that anyone was injured.
The suspect is described as a skinny white male in his late 20s, 5’08” to 5’10”, with dirty blonde hair and scruffy facial hair. He was last seen wearing a white zip-up hoody with black sleeves and a black tank top underneath, khaki cargo shorts and low-top white tennis shoes.
Anyone with information regarding this suspect is asked to call Police Dispatch at 786-8900.
