WASILLA – Police are investigating a late-night burglary at Mat-Su Tactical, LLC.
According to Wasilla Police Chief Gene Belden, a male suspect broke into the Mountain Village Drive shop late Sunday night and stole three pistols and a .50-caliber Barrett rifle with a Swarovski 10×42 scope. The firearms are worth an estimated total of $12,295.
A store employee, who did not want to give his name, said the suspect busted through the back door around 11:38 p.m., triggering alarms.
“I think he’s been here before as a customer,” the employee said. “He passed two other cabinets, one he passed some high-dollar night vision, some high-dollar holographic sights. Yeah, he went directly for the handguns.”
The entire burglary was caught on camera.
The is suspect described as a white male wearing heavy black boots, a ski jacket, hoodie, beanie hat and scarf.
