A 20-year-old Wasilla man is facing a slew of charges for dealing heroin and methamphetamine to teens, authorities said.
A month-long investigation led to the Thursday arrest of Clay Katzmarek, said Alaska State Troopers.
On Feb. 14, troopers received a report that Katzmarek gave heroin and methamphetamine to a 17-year-old girl at least five times free of charge, according to an affidavit filed by Alaska State Trooper Shayne Calt.
The Mat-Su Drug Unit then began an investigation that revealed Katzmarek had provided or offered drugs to at least five other teens, Calt said.
Thursday, investigators placed Katzmarek under arrest for seven counts of first-degree misconduct involving a controlled substance (MICS), two counts of second-degree MICS, five counts of third-degree MICS and for violating the conditions of his release.
He is being held at the Mat-Su Pretrial Facility. An investigation into additional suspects and victims is ongoing, troopers said.
